Branislav Stojančev Paša – Master of Watercolor and Guitar Virtuoso from Novi Bečej

A master of watercolor and a guitar virtuoso, Branislav Stojančev—affectionately known to the people of Novi Bečej as Paša—was born in 1952. A lover of art, nature, and the Tisa River, he began his watercolor journey in 2001, dedicating himself to this delicate yet demanding painting technique. Since then, he has embraced its challenges with great success, finding in watercolor a source of peace, inspiration, and inner balance.

His works radiate the calmness of the plains and the poetry of water. In the transparent layers of his paintings, one can feel his deep connection with the Tisa—a timeless inspiration and a recurring motif in his artistic expression. Over the years, he has participated in numerous exhibitions and art colonies, with a special place reserved for the Novi Bečej “Diska Watercolor Academy,” where he left a lasting impression through his talent and spirit.

Beyond painting, Branislav Stojančev Paša has nurtured his love for music and the guitar for more than half a century. The instrument has become an extension of his artistic soul, allowing him to merge the harmony of sound and color into a unique and inseparable whole.

He lives by the principle “Ars longa, vita brevis”—art is long, life is short. Through his brushstrokes and guitar notes, he turns ordinary days into moments of beauty, making them unforgettable and timeless, just like the art to which he has devoted his life.
