Stevan Davidović was born on October 6, 1949, in Novi Bečej. He completed his primary and secondary education in his hometown, where he also graduated from the local Grammar School. He went on to earn a degree from the Higher Pedagogical School in Zrenjanin, majoring in Serbo-Croatian language and the history of Yugoslav literatures.
From 1973 until 2012, he worked at the Municipal Administration of Novi Bečej, serving as Secretary for National Defense and later as Head of Social Affairs.
His passion for journalism began during his high school years, when he edited the school newspaper “Reč mladih” (“Word of the Youth”). Over the years, he contributed to numerous newspapers and magazines, including Politika ekspres, Dnevnik, Sport, Zrenjanin, the Kikinda-based Komuna, Bečejski dani, Bečejski mozaik, Tempo, Sportski žurnal, Novobečejski informator, and Novobečejski dani. He also collaborated with Radio Novi Sad, Radio Zrenjanin, and Radio Bečej.
Davidović was one of the founders and the first acting director of the Public Enterprise “Radio Novi Bečej” (1997–1998), as well as editor and host of the radio show “Sportski mozaik” (Sports Mosaic), which ran from 2001 to 2006. Since 2014, he has been the editor of the Chronicle of Novi Bečej (Letopis Novog Bečeja).
He is the author of several important monographs documenting the sports, cultural, and social life of Novi Bečej, including:
