was born on January 27, 1952, in Novi Bečej (Banat). He completed elementary school and high school in his hometown. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy - Department of History in 1976 in Novi Sad, and obtained his master's degree in Belgrade in 1983. He earned his PhD in Novi Sad in 1995 with a thesis on Hungarians in Vojvodina from 1941-1946, which was published the following year under the same title. Currently, the second expanded edition is in press.
He is the author of several books and publications, most notably 'History of Hungarians,' co-authored with P. Rokai, Z. Đere, and T. Pal, where he contributed to the history of the Hungarian people in the 20th century. He has published around sixty studies in leading historical journals in the country and abroad. He has participated with presentations at numerous scientific conferences, published in special collections.
For years, he has been researching the history of the Dunđerski family, publishing about ten works including:

He is a full professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, teaching Yugoslav History, where under his mentorship, 172 students have graduated, five have obtained master's degrees, and two have earned doctoral degrees.
He heads the Vojvodina Provincial Scientific Project on Researching the Political, Economic, and Cultural History of Vojvodina. He was a long-term member of the expert group of the Ministry of Science of the Republic of Serbia for History, Ethnology, and Archaeology, and is now a member of the Expert Council for Social Sciences of the Senate of the University of Novi Sad. For a brief period, he served as the Vice Dean for Finance at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad and has been a member of the Teaching and Scientific Council in multiple terms. He is a permanent associate member of Matica Srpska and its Department of Social Sciences. He is also a member of the Bogumil Hrabak Historians Foundation, established by the Vojvodina Academy of Sciences and Arts to promote young scholars, as well as the Editorial Board of the Department of History's journal 'Research' and the Editorial Board of 'Krovovi' from Sremski Karlovci.
