Boža Dujin 1908-1987

Boža was artistically gifted in many ways. He was one of the best amateur actors, an excellent singer, musician, painter-scenographer, and sign writer. Overall, he was a great artist, a cheerful person, and an outstanding entertainer. He had great acting potential, which is why Arsen Pecarski, a well-known connoisseur of theater arts and director of the Amateur Ensemble "Napredak" from Vranjevo, chose him as his closest associate.

For many years, he played the leading roles in the plays that "Napredak" had in its repertoire. He was particularly successful in playing comedic roles. Boža was a born comedian—versatile, imaginative, playful, lively, and always creatively inclined. His monologues were unforgettable. He sang well and successfully performed roles that included singing. Everything he performed on stage gave the impression that he wasn't acting but rather living the role.

In "Napredak," in addition to acting, he also played a significant role as a scenographer. Whatever he and Uncle Arsen Pecarski agreed upon, Boža executed on stage.

Many of the most beautiful shop signs in Novi Bečej during the 1930s and 1940s were Boža Dujin's work.
