Mikloš Hever was born in Subotica on November 28, 1952. After finishing elementary school, he enrolled in high school in Kanjiža, specializing in graphics with a focus on photography. In 1973, he moved to Novi Bečej and opened his own photography studio at 42 Maršala Tita Street, across from the Lutheran church. After some time, he changed locations but remained on the same street, now at 58. That house with the studio belonged to the Komaromi family but was demolished at the end of the 20th century.
The studio was not very spacious, but it met the basic needs of a beginner. Hever often visited homes to photograph family gatherings, celebrations, and weddings. Gradually, he established his photography business; however, due to circumstances, he left Novi Bečej in 1979 and began working at the chemical industry "Zorka" in Subotica. For twenty years, he was a photo reporter for the Industrial Herald. As a photo reporter, he was a freelance contributor to the newspapers "Mađar so" and "7 nap" from 1994 to 2000. For about ten years, he photographed for the Subotica National Theater. During this period, he held four solo exhibitions.
Since 1999, he has worked at the City Museum of Subotica, where he manages photographic documentation and faithfully captures museum events with his camera. As a good connoisseur of traditional photography techniques, he successfully applies his knowledge in new working conditions, enriching museum publications with his quality photographs. During his time at the museum, he held several solo photography exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions.
In his previous work, he used the following cameras: Zeiss-Ikon (9x12, 6x9), Exacta, Praktica, Pentacon Six, Yashica, Mamiya 330, Minolta, Canon EOS 5, Canon EOS 3, Canon 400, Canon 450 digital, Canon EOS 5D Mark II.
