Dr. Gordana Vijatov-Đurić

Gordana Vijatov was born on September 26, 1968, in Novi Bečej. She attended "Miloje Čiplić" Elementary School from 1975 to 1983 and was a recipient of the Vuk's Diploma. From 1983 to 1985, she completed two years of general secondary education at the "Ivo Lola Ribar" School for Secondary Directed Education in Novi Bečej with a grade of 5.00. The following two years, she attended the Secondary School for Social Activities "Koča Kolarov" in Zrenjanin, finishing with a grade of 5.00.

Dr. Gordana Vijatov-ĐurićShe enrolled in the Medical Faculty in Novi Sad in 1987 and graduated in 1993 with an average grade of 9.39. She began her specialization in pediatrics at the Medical Faculty in Novi Sad in 1995 and passed her specialist exam in 1999 with a grade of 10. In 2001, she started her subspecialization in rheumatology at the Medical Faculty in Belgrade and passed the oral subspecialty exam in 2003 with a grade of 10. She defended her subspecialty final paper titled "Clinical Characteristics and Course of the Systemic Form of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis."

She defended her master's thesis titled "Clinical Signs and Laboratory Tests in the Differential Diagnosis of Arthritis in Children" in 2005 at the Medical Faculty in Novi Sad. In 2006, she enrolled in doctoral studies, Clinical Medicine program, at the Medical Faculty in Novi Sad and passed the required exams. Her doctoral thesis application titled "The Importance of Interleukin-17 in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis" was accepted. She is an assistant at the Department of Pediatrics at the Medical Faculty in Novi Sad.

She served two terms as the secretary of the Pediatric Section of Vojvodina and this year was elected secretary of the Section for Allergology and Clinical Immunology of Vojvodina. She is a recipient of the DLV-SLD Certificate of Appreciation.

She is employed at the Institute for Health Care of Children and Youth of Vojvodina in Novi Sad as the head of the rheumatology department.
